Sex is the Best Medicine for Hypertension

Brazilian Health Minister Jose Gomes Temporao last month recommending sex up to five times a week as a way to prevent chronic health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular problems.


"Dancing, sex, keep your weight remains stable, doing physical exercises, all to keep your blood pressure," Gomes said when launching the campaign to prevent hypertension.

Not without cause if the talks focus on essential hypertension. In Brazil, the number of cases of high blood pressure grow quite rapidly. A study by the Brazilian Ministry of Health on 54 000 people conducted through telephone interviews showed the proportion of residents who said their blood pressure is 140/90 or above, increased from 21.5 percent in 2006 to 24.4 percent in 2010. It is important for hypertensive patients to eat more fruits, vegetables, and legumes, and do not forget, physical activity, including sex.

"This is no joke, I'm serious. Perform regular physical exercise also means having sex, of course, safe sex," said Gomes said menggaungkan safe sex to prevent the spread of HIV.
