Chronic pain can worsen the quality of life for patients because it would reduce the ability to work, cause sleep disturbances, anxiety, frustration, and depression, lack of appetite, increased susceptibility to disease, have a negative impact on the attitudes and lifestyles, as well as dependence on drugs and medical care.
