How To Diet Your Success

Most people who go on a diet knows that reducing calories is the key to successful dieting. But they do not know how to apply the theory.

Not secret anymore if many people fail to do the diet in the middle of the road. As experienced by Rudy Termini, a pensioner aged 65 years in the U.S., who struggled to lose weight during the four years.

"Three times a week I play tennis and go to the gym to go on a diet, but results have not been looking too," Termini said as quoted from Forbes, Tuesday (14/07/2009).

Termini was finally interested in participating in clinical trials for two years at the Harvard School of Public Health and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Two years of training at the site, Termini succeeded in reducing the weight of 23 pounds.

What is the secret of successful diet?

Dr. Donald Hensrud, a nutrition specialist at Mayo Clinic said reduced calorie diet is the key to success. But it will not work if the theory is not practiced.

An investigator from the National Weight Control Registry, Suzzanne Phelan have been tracking the weight loss effort that followed 6000 participants in the experiment. He also leaked the secret strategies of successful dieting.

One effective technique is to monitor more closely the number of calories and weight. This requires that records of food calories and high commitment to the diet.
